Warranty Gains In Popularity
Buyers Demand Extra Coverage for Major Op Systems

Purchasers often receive a one-year home warranty compliments of the seller when purchasing a home. These warranties cover major operating systems, such as plumbing, heating and air conditioning in the home.
You want to make sure the warranty covers the air conditioner. In Las Vegas, where the temperatures are above 100 degrees so often, it's unbearable go without a working air conditioner. When a seller is paying for this coverage, why not make sure that the air conditioner is covered?
In an article entitled "Warranty Gains in Popularity," a representative of the Home Warranty Association of California states "The proportion of home sales that incllude warranty coverage has been steadily rising nationwide. The share is most dramatic in California, where more than 90 percent of existing-home sales include warranty coverage."
Many Californians are moving to the Las Vegas area, often "moving up" to larger homes that have more amenities using their larger equities from the sale of their California homes. More amenities often means more coverage.
Typically, these home warranties paid for by the seller for a purchaser are one-year policies. After the policy has expired, it may be in your best interest to purchase coverage each year by renewing the existing policy or identifying a suitable alternate policy.
These policies often cost $300-500. Many companies offer similar products, I've found that companies that offer the best customer service have made the most positive impression.
